Kerry Self

Kerry Self was a husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He retired from the US Air Force as a Major after 20 years of service to his country. He passed on April 3, 2018, he was 52 years old. He loved flying and after retiring went on to work as a pilot for Southwest Airlines.

He was a graduate of the Air Force Academy (class of 1987) and held a Masters's degree from the University of Texas in 1996.

He had been a Scoutmaster and was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.

Mr. Self loved to travel and enjoyed boating and history.

On February 20, 1993 he married his devoted wife Lisa Pettko who survives. In addition to his wife and parents, left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved children Abigail L. and Nicholas J. Self both of Canonsburg, his sister Tracy L. Self of Austin, Texas, and a niece and two nephews.
