Richard Riddle

Today, we remember Retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Richard Riddle.

Rich was an early supporter of the Stronghold Freedom Foundation and was a vocal proponent of legislation that would help K2 veterans who were suffering from illnesses caused by toxic exposures.

He passed away just one year ago on June 14th, 2020 after a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was 63 years old.

Rich was deployed to Camp Stronghold Freedom at Karshi-Khanabad in Uzbekistan with the 8th Special Operations Squadron in 2003.

His wife Daryl now helps fight for other K2 Veterans like Rich as one of the Leaders of our Care and Support Team.

Rich was very dearly loved and thoroughly missed by all of us here at SFF. Rest easy sir. We are keeping the promise.
